Straight out of Toronto and recently signed to Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak Records, house collective Azari & III is making an appearance at Venue in downtown Vancouver! After breaking out in 2011, Azari & III recently released their debut self-titled album on October 30th of this year. This Thursday, November 8th, make sure to catch them, you wont regret it! If you have no idea who they are, I dare you to find out.
These guys really know electronic dance music and the vibe that comes along with it. Their mixing of awesome, indie-like rock synths with dance floor bass sets the perfect scene for any Vancouver club. Azari & III is comprised of two producers/musicians Dinamo Azari and Alixander III with vocalists Fritz Helder and Starving Yet Full (who’s name by the way, completely captures the uniqueness of this group).
Having been recently signed to Aoki’s label, Azari & III have been key in bringing a wider range of music to the already extremely diverse Dim Mak roster. In an interview, Steve Aoki explains the impact of Azari & III’s debut album: “It brings up sounds from the past, but it’s what I think the future sounds like. And Azari & III are beyond any trends, which makes this one of the best albums of our generation.”
