In another installment for the Adult Swim Singles Program, Flying Lotus released “Between Friends” featuring Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt – who’s guest-versing all over the map – and a mysterious other rapper named Captain Murphy, who’s lyrics and flow are eerily similar to Odd Future co-star Tyler, The Creator. If that wasn’t already enough, Captain Murphy put out another track today called “Mighty Morphin Foreskin.” It seems that Tyler is fucking with us. Again.

Flylo let’s “Captain Murphy” and Earl weave in and out of time – remaining calm but explosive – over his contemplatively cool beat only to do his normal Flying Lotus thing and absolutely destroy the last minute. In the end, all Flylo has done is whet our appetites for his October release Until the Quiet Comes with guest spots from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood, Erykah Badu, Thundercat, Niki Randa, and Laura Darlington.
