roeVy is a DJ/VJ duo who never learned the rules on capitalization.  They come from Ohio, the undisputed EDM capital of the world.  As miffed with them as I may seem, I actually do like the guys.  They make fantastic techno.  Their latest release is a nine track EP featuring two originals and seven remixes from some of the darkest beat slingers the game has to offer.  The original track is so simple it hurts to listen to if you’ve ever produced techno before.  If you can hear above your id, ego, and super ego all screaming “why didn’t I think of that?” in perfect three part harmony, than I guarantee you will like this song.  As the title implies, “Blacksmoke” is the darkest of techno.  It’s simple and mysterious — just as techno should be.  The rest of the EP is fantastic as well and features remixes by some of our favorites including BEENS and Modek.  Be sure to grab the EP on Beatport.
