Blatta & Inesha are back with a vengeance. Their brand new Texas Techno EP is out now on Oh! My God It’s Techno Music. The EP features one heavy original and 3 equally pounding remixes. In classic Blatta & Inesha fashion, the original is a bleeping blooping seizure inducing hybrid of electro and techno.
While the original is a great track, the remixes are what make this EP worth picking up. The Rox remix is some classic electro-house. To me this track isn’t particularly special on its own, but The Rox still deserve credit for some solid production work. The Ghosteffects and Dirty Disco Youth remixes are both murderous revisions of Texas Techno. They belong to the fully real and not made up by me just now genre called midnight car chase house. They take the somewhat textureless arpeggios of the original and bring them forward in the mix all the while piling on the reverb and distortion. These two remixes are the stars of the EP and lend the song a much needed cinematic feel. The original has great aggression and force, but these two remixes put a story behind it — the story of midnight car chase house.
