Clock Opera Remixes
0

London’s Clock Opera is a difficult group to pin down with a genre. Their brand of swirling anthemic indie dance defies a more specific description. Frontman Guy Connelly joins Andy West (bass, guitar, synths), Che Albrighton (drums, samples) and Dan Armstrong (samples, synths, keyboards, backing vocals) to form the workings of the group.

Clock Opera rose to fame with its release of several singles, notably “A piece of String,” “Belongings,” “Once and for All” and their most recent, “Lesson No. 7.”  For me though, the Clock Opera tracks that I’ve really fallen in love with are their remixes. The group has a keen sense of how to transform anything into something electrically funky while keeping it organic and naturally flowing. Clock Opera are masters of creating a perfect counterpoint between their throbbing, visceral, driving basslines and their floating glissando touches of melody from guitar samples and synths. The band has been racking up an impressive collection of remixes for acclaimed indie artists.  Here are a few to enjoy.  If you like them make sure to check out their originals as well.
