Congorock, born in Lecce, Italy burst onto the scene with bass heavy remixes of songs such as One by Swedish House Mafia and Somebody to Love by Boy George and Mark Ronson. He then promptly cemented his place in the growing EDM world with well produced singles such as Sirius, Ivory and Babylon, all of which show a different side of his production skill.
His second single on the Fools Gold label, Babylon, took Beatport charts by storm. In fact, it took the world by storm. Immediately becoming an international hit, Babylon was played in almost every festival around the world and it gained support from artists such as Tiesto and Diplo.
Bottom line, Congorock is here to stay. The funky rhythms, pounding bass and ingenious twists that he incorporates into a unique EDM producer. I can’t wait to see what he’ll come out with in the year of 2012.
