Dragan Roganović, or more famously known as Dirty South is a Serbian-born Australian DJ, remixer, and record producer based in Melbourne. His producing career and DJing career developed simultaneously. He started off with humble beginnings, creating remixes and mash-ups on a family computer, spreading them worldwide. He serendipitously caught the attention of the Australian record label Vicious Vinyl, who signed him up back in 2005.

Soon after, he jumped to the top of the Australian club charts with his remix of It’s Too Late by Evermore and he was the first Australian artist to win one of Pete Tong‘s Essential New Tune awards.

He later partnered up with British DJ Paul Harris to come out with the track Better Day that also gained a fair amount of buzz and popularity. Other impressive feats have been releasing his single Let it Go on Axwell’s record label Axtone and providing a remix for Kaskade‘s Sorry that was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording in 2008.

Dirty South’s very skillfully composed tracks are up beat and intriguing. Some notables and favorites of mine are Alive with Thomas Gold and the collaboration he did with Axwell for The Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition. He’s featured these tracks in many of his performances at some of the world’s biggest music festivals like Ultra, Pacha, Global Gathering, and many more.

Make sure to catch up with him at his future performances and support him on Beatport!
