F.O.O.L

I’ve got another Swedish duo for you all today and this is one of my personal favorites.  F.O.O.L, the acronym for the group called F*ck Our Ordinary Lives, is the project of Rasmus Hermansen and Oliver Nilsen.  Since their first free online EP Ashy Diamond Lungs in 2009, the duo has gotten massive support from the ever-extending blogosphere on the internet.  People can’t seem to resist the melodic punchy Electro that F.O.O.L brings to the table with every production, putting them in the same field as Le Castle Vania and Danger, and Toxic Avenger. It’s kind of like if you were to go to an orchestra or a symphony with a multi-talented Swedish duo playing a nasty Electro synthesizer, violins, piano and horns; that’s the best way to describe F.O.O.L’s production.

With Rasmus Hermansen filling the producer role and Oliver Nilsen the DJ, F.O.O.L have played all around the world, landing for a show in just about every continent.  Their concerts look lively and energetic as hell and the best part is that if you’re sick of Electro, they’ll dub it up a bit for you.  For example, add in a couple wub wubs and a darker atmosphere and out comes their track Nigthum which they gave away for free on their Soundcloud.  Or, say you want more of a glitchy vibe that’s a bit faster than the others, you can check out Nonsense which might have the dirtiest raunchy synth I’ve ever heard.  That’s not it though, because the duo can come out with anything from Electro to Trash to Dubstep to Nu Disco to Progressive and it’s always a surprise.

SaharA (Original Mix) – F.O.O.L

Iron Man (F.O.O.L Remix) – Gtronic

Nonsense (Original Mix) – F.O.O.L

Reborn – F.O.O.L

Be sure to check out the tracks above (my personal favorites are SaharA and Nonsense) and follow F.O.O.L on Soundcloud, BeatportFacebook and Myspace for more updates.  Check out their website too for links to all of their social media and definitely check their newest EP Vision out on Tuffem Up! Records.  With their 24,000 Facebook fans I’m pretty excited for what they’ll do in the future.  I can only pray that they come to the US soon to play.
