After seeing Atlas Sound (Bradford Cox) at The Creators Project, I’ve been following him more closely than ever. He released his expertly produced album Parallax, which features a beautiful track in “Mona Lisa,” early last week (November 8th). The track was recorded on his previously release Bedroom Databank, but the re-recorded and re-produced version is much more in tune with his sound and feel.
At the start, the poppy guitar sounds like the song is going to be a mix of Noah and the Whale and Ben Lee. Then Cox’s light lachrymose voice floats above the quiet drums, moving to the catchy chorus, “The Mona Lisa’s got you all.”
Enjoy this track and definitely give Parallax a listen, you won’t regret it.
