2008 was a magical time in the history of bangers. It’s been 4 years since I first heard this song on Kitsune Maison 5 and I’m still in love with it. As far as I know, the remix was made by Late of the Pier themselves. A less polished version can be found on a selection of their early demos. As you could expect from a band doing their own remix, they stayed very true to the original. They even kept the silly 7/4 section. The best change they made to the song is how they crushed the shit out of the track’s vocals. Where before it sounded like singer, Sam Eastgate, had just woken up, it now sounds like he’s still asleep. And for some reason I love it.
