Somebody stop me before someone gets hurt! I’m on a ruthless tech-house posting spree and I won’t let up until every man, woman and child understands what I mean when I say I like (E)lectronic (D)ance (M)usic most when barely anything happens in it. There’s something sort of zen about the more minimal genres of EDM. Sometimes when I listen to tracks like this I find it so unfair that music like this was ever labeled minimal. The term minimal sounds as if the amount of music happening is slightly less than the amount that is supposed to happen. If we call music like this minimal music I think it would only be fair to label quite a few genres of EDM excessive music. Don’t get me wrong! I love all kinds of EDM, but do you really need ten different synths fighting each other to the death for a one second spot in a melody for you to dance? (I’m talking to you complextro!) Seems a bit wasteful. If a producer can come up with one good bassline can’t you just be content with it for 8 minutes? All I’m really trying to say is if you’re not already into tech-house give it a chance because this song is really good!
