Omega, otherwise known as Chris Cox, is an EDM producer, remixer, and DJ currently residing in Denver, Colorado. Although currently he focuses primarily on bass music, he first discovered Electronic music back in the ’90s with the era of big beat and IDM. And ever since he purchased his first set of turntables, he’s developed through many styles of Electronic music. He’s dipped into progressive, psychedelic Trance, and Dubstep. Lately, it’s been mostly Dubstep and other forms of bass music. Although he started off as a DJ, now he’s gearing his talents towards writing and producing tracks.
Omega is a talented artist that performs in a way that’s both a DJ set and a live performance, running Ableton Live, several MIDI controllers, effects processors, and synths. He has his fair share of original tracks, remixes, edits, mash-ups, and most impressively, live improvisations.
His music can be characterized as a high-energy, bass-crazy Dubstep. He captures and combines raw sounds and aggressive styles, including vicious synth lines and sub-bass patterns. He pays particular attention to layering and design when it comes to producing his music. He gives his tracks an elegant, almost graceful melody that is also funky and trippy, all at the same time.
