On deck for tonight we have a fresh new track from legendary London dubstep/grime producer Plastician. It comes as no surprise that “Growlin’” is a pure, unadulterated UK grime track driven by a repetitive, distorted bassline. We see a huge UK influence that I personally have been missing in the dubstep scene recently. I love that while there are only 4 or 5 distinct elements to the track, the unoccupied space creates a huge amount of impact. Just goes to show that the negative space is just as important as the noises themselves – take note American dubstep producers.
