In the 10 months since we started this series we’ve gotten mixes from some of the most badass beat-slingers in the game — DJs like Kairo Kingdom, Lee Mortimer, Blatta & Inesha and Kill Frenzy. For the big #10 we obviously needed a DJ who could live up to the horribly bassy legacy we’ve built for you over the last 10 months. This is where Sharooz comes in.
Since he came onto the scene in 2006, Sharooz has received support from some of the biggest names in dance music including Moby, 2 Many DJs, James Zabiela, Afrojack, Chuckie, Mark Knight, Pete Tong and Erol Alkan. Armed in the studio with a 303 and a 909, the man makes some undeniably bad-ass dance music. His music ranges from dark acid to heavy electro, and not to mention his foray into atmospheric indie dance with his Fool’s Gold approved side-project, Vails earlier this year. Sharooz is one of those rare producers harboring both the ability to floor you with an elegantly subtle work of art like FSK from Vails or annihilate a dancefloor with a beat like Fflash from his newest EP on GND. He also founded Sounds to Sample and currently heads one of our favorite techno labels, La Bombe Records. Sounds like a Metrojolt guest mix artist if I’ve ever heard of one. The mix he made for us features not only his newest track, Fflash, but also his full EP under his side-project, Vails. Enjoy the mix below.
