Well, you might just be in luck. Because last week, our favorite slurry DJ, Shlohmo, put out a mix for Fader as a precursor to his August 11th appearance at the MoMA sponsored Warm Up series, located at their PS 1 space in Long Island City, Queens.
5 Minutes, 45 seconds in – “It feels like ooooo-oo-oooohh.” Alicia Keys never sounded so good over the cascading chimes of “You Don’t Know My Name.”
21 minutes in- TLC’s “All That Theme Song” turned into a dark James Blake-y trip back to everybody’s favorite 90′s Nickelodeon variety show, leading into an absolutely beautiful vocal sample from Lianne La Havas.
37 minutes in – Spaceghostpurrp tells us he’s a god, and I’m so disoriented after 37 minutes of Shlohmo that I kind of believe him.
