Want some futuristic funk? I don’t really know much about GRiZ except that he kicks it with Supervision and Pretty Lights every now and then and casually makes awesome tracks. Prime example of this is his track “The Future Is Now” that combines funk with futuristic sounds including some heavy bass and synth lines. It always amuses me when artists don’t sit in the confines of their genre, and GRiZ definitely goes outside the box with some pizzaz. ”The Future is Now” never stays the same, constantly changing so that no matter who the listener is, they’re never bored. With the arsenal of horns, emphatic claps, and some powerful funky vocals, this track has me going back into my vinyl collection just to find a sample as funky as his.
