The other day, my homie Ari hit me up with a song by The Hood Internet that I liked, so I decided to investigate. What I found out: there’s a lot of hype around The Hood Internet right now. My verdict: some of it’s good, most of it isn’t. I don’t know those two white guys’ whole story, but they crank out so many remixes that half of the stuff is weak. But there are some damn good remixes hidden in there, and that’s where I come in.
A word on the album photo up there. My homie Jarad Soloman, a freshman in UCLA’s art program, is an amazing artist so I hit him up about making a lil something for Metrojolt. We love art here at the metropolitan jolt, so you can expect some more original takes on album covers to come.
Now, for the goods:
A Milli’l Sister – Queens of the Stone Age vs. Lil Wayne (The Hood Internet remix)
Runawayfully – Journey vs. Kanye West (The Hood Internet remix)
Two Weeks of Hip Hop – Grizzly Bear vs. Dead Prez (The Hood Internet remix)
Virginia is for Cameras – Matt & Kim vs. Clipse (The Hood Internet remix)
Back That Sleepyhead Up – Juvenile vs. Passion Pit (The Hood Internet remix)
Billie Wildcat Jean – Ratatat vs. MJ (The Hood Internet remix)
