I’ve had this album lying around, occasionally playing it since June 2008. But, I never realized how classic it is. I played it through on a drive to the beach last Sunday, and all I can say is that if you listen to Hip-Hop and you don’t have this album, you’re fucking up. The Infamous is mellow, dark, and serious, but it somehow manages to not be depressing or too scary to play around white bitches (the white bitch I was with actually commented on the album’s swag).
The production quality of The Infamous is top-notch. Every beat is simple and blends into Mobb Deep’s verses incredibly…. Superlative, superlative, superlative. Seriously, just listen to the music already.
