Two Door Cinema Club is an indie group from Northern Ireland. It seems like more and more I am posting musicians out of the US. No issue with that, of course, just can’t remember the last time I wrote about someone from the states. Whatever. These guys started up in ’07 and came out with their only full album in 2010. I remember when it came out very clearly. It was march and no one had ever heard of these guys before, and all across the internet people were shitting themselves over Two Door Cinema Club. It was a smart time to release, spring was just beginning and these guys have a nice upbeat sound. A bunch of remixes came out almost immediately after the release.

Sam and Alex met each other in high school and they connected with Kevin while he was on -lets go with “pursuing”- some girls that they knew. And they incepted the idea for the band name when Alex mispronounced the local movie theater name – “Tudor Cinema”. Funny how these things all fall together isn’t it?

These guys are out and touring right now, and boy are they hitting all the spots. They are going all over the world, and are touring for almost 6 months. For our local readers: They will be at the Fillmore in SF April 14th before they head down to Cochella for the weekend.
